If you’re tracing your family tree, findmypast is one of the best places to start. Within findmypast’s collections you’ll find national census records for England, Wales and Scotland; plus Irish census records, 1821–1851, and 1901–1911; and other sources such as burial records and electoral registers.
The British Newspaper Archive provides online access to local and regional newspapers from across Britain and Ireland. The partnership between The British Library and findmypast has digitised over 36 million newspaper pages from the British Library's vast collection, with more pages being added every week.
